Saturday September 15 will be the day this Fall that we will Clean and Repair the lower Rifle, Pistol and Air Gun Ranges. Work will begin at 9:00 and finish up about 11:30.Cleaning, Painting, and some repairs that require Battery Powered Drills. We will work rain or shine as much of the work is inside the buildings. We can use your help!

CMP M1 Rifle Match
Military Rifle Shoot, no class

On Saturday, Sept 29 we will hold a CMP Military Rifle Match on the Rifle Range.

Start Time 9:00 AM

We will be working this Saturday at 11:00 AM to install drainage tile on the site for the new action shooting range. We need as many volunteers as possible! If you have shovels, spades and the like please bring them.

If you have a bobcat or trenching machine please call Bob Godlove and let him know! Heavy machinery would make the job go considerably faster.

If we have a frog strangling rain on Saturday we will postpone till 1:00 PM on Sunday April 1st for doing the work. This is not an April fools!

There was not enough rain today to stop us. No need to show up tomorow at 1:00

Weather permitting we will have the 1st run with heavy equipment to remove stumps, relocate rip-rap concrete, and lots of dirt moving.  There will also be an opportunity for quite a bit of manual labor to relocate the recently cut wood and generally assist in the moving of dirt and concrete.  If you have shovels, pry bars, chain saws, etc they might prove useful.  Strong backs and willing hands will definitely be useful!

Some additional information on recent recommendations for the Action Range:

• Each of 4 positions will need equipment tables 5′ long, 18″deep and 30″ high.  If you have a good design for these tables please let Bob Godlove know.
• We will want to have restroom facilities closer to this area (we expect to have a lot of traffic here) and it will likely involve a 4′ x 8′ slab and some newer facilities.

We will have our 2007 Spring CLeanup on the Outdoor Rifle and Pistol Ranges in APril. Please plan to attend and bring your rechargable drill, tape measure, and paintbrush if you have them. But most important is to BE THERE.

Remember you will get “Ike Bucks” for your participation.

We use the timer and turning target system. Be prepared to follow NRA Bullseye shooting procedures.

Tuesday Nights 6:00 PM till ???

Class will be held at the Chapter House in the morning. Bob Godlove will be instructing

Shooting at the indoor range will begin after our normal range hours are over (2:30 PM).

Volunteers for the afternoon session please meet at the indoor pistol range just before 2:30.
