The Action Range open for use, we have not had winter experiance before so we will see how it goes plowing snow down there.. To start you just need to take a simple Safety Orientation and Walk Through and sign your paper work. The next Action Range Safety Orientation will be held on a Saturday TBA next spring at 10:15 to 11:00 in the morning. Action Range Members can come to the Action Range and get a walkthrough of the Safety event then go in the range for your live fire demonstration where you will shoot. We are looking for gun handling skills, Muzzle control, and over all Safety, not marksmanship. You will be asked to show us a Safe Load, Draw three times and fire a shot, a magazine change and an Unload and Show Clear.

You will get a copy of the rules and sign off that you agree to participate within the rules.

Action Range Orientations will resume when weather allows in the Spring!
Bring your gun to the Action Range in a gun bag or box just like you would any other range.

We have Target Cardboard for sale for $1.25 and the wood slats [ 48"x1.5"x.5" ] to attach it to your stand for $2.00. We will provide the four base stands per position (just as we provide a target base on the Pistol Range) and you supply the expendable targets and frames. Each Shooting Box has four bases or stands; if you want more you can buy additional target stands, or hope that one of the other boxes is not being used and borrow some of theirs. You can buy these targets and frames from us at the Indoor Range when we are open for shooting.

The Action Range is the only facility we have that you can draw and fire at a target to keep up your self-defense skills or develop Action or Cowboy skill sets. You can also shoot at Steal Targets at 30 feet and more, again the only range we have that you can shoot steel. You have to contribute to the Action Range to use it, minimum donation is still only $150. This is a reservation only range.
You must be a current Action Range Member ( one person with a minimum contribution of $150 until February 1, 2012, after that it will go to $200)
One person in an Action Range Box at a time.
Must have passed the Range Orientation.
Must work within all rules and accept disclaimer.

Want to use the Steel targets at the Action Range, fine but paint them when your are done or they will rust!
