Linn County CCW Classes

CCW Classes are held at the Linn County Ikes Chapter House, the first building on the left, on the First Thursday of each month.
You must be registered at your County Sheriff’s Office ( In Person ) and on their list to attend!
Classes start promptly at 6:00, but please do not arrive before 5:45 that night.
Class duration is 4 hours plus a written test of about 30 minutes.
Qualifications are held most Saturdays at 1:00 PM at the Indoor Range, first tan building on the Right at the Ikes, please do not arrive before 12:15 PM. No Range qualifications on Holiday Weekends
Ammunition used must be Original Manufacture with Lead or FMJ bullets only, bring the box!
CCW Targets are an IDPA paper target version of the Cardboard target used in matches, a full sized silhouette target shot at 30 feet or 10 yardsThe Chest circle is worth 10 points, the next 12” x 18” box out is worth 5 points.
One and a half minutest for 10 shots with one reload during that time as needed, 80 point needed to pass. You will load your gun before the qualification time starts.
Non member practice is limited to the Indoor Range, during times that are listed as being open. Practice time is available on Thursday nights in 1 hour segments starting at 6:30 PM, Saturday Morinings from 8:30 till 12:15 and Sunday Morinings from 10:30 – 12:30.
Non members need to be aware that the Linn County Ikes is private property, and you may be arrested if you are found there without permission or in the wrong area.
Indoor Range Times are:
- Thursday Nights, 6:30 to 8:30
- Saturday Mornings from 8:30 – 12:15
- Sunday Mornings from 10:30 till 12:30
