The Chief Instructor for the class will be Cyndee Godlove, a state pistol champion, an NRA Certified Instructor and an NRA Training Officer. We will cover how to choose a handgun, the differences between Revolvers and Pistols, the differences between steel guns and plastic or polymer guns. Also covered will be different types of ammunition and different calibers of handguns. Safety will be the first and foremost part of what instructing will cover. How to line up and use the sights since the sights steer the bullet to the target. How to legally transport the gun home and to the range. If you want to carry a gun, what steps you need to take to get a carry permit.
Lunch will be provided then after lunch we will have hands-on live fire shooting with real guns that we have chosen for their lack of recoil and noise. Each student will get an opportunity to fire at least 50 shots in our heated indoor range with one on one instruction. We have a number of women instructors and range safety officers.
$35 – Class starts at 9:30 AM on Saturday March 10, 2012 is Full so we will do another on on Sunday the 18th of March ( now also full ) Doors open at 9:15!

Our goal is for someone with an interest in handguns, self defense or shooting for sport to start with no experience and leave with an understanding of the different kinds of guns available and what type would be right for you if any. You will be able to handle, load, fire a gun and hit your target by the end of the class. We know you will have a good time and understand where to find more information should you want to pursue this interest.
