When you were younger shooting your first BB gun was great fun. Now that you are a little older, the Winchester/NRA Marksmanship So easy to start, the target is a paper plate at only 15 feet! Pistol Qualification Program offers fun and enjoyment that can last a lifetime. This is a go at your own pace program. Move forward as fast or as slow as you want.

New Winchester NRA Conventional Bullseye Pistol Qualification Program is now underway!
This program will be your next step in improving your pistol shooting skills. The rules of this will be based on the NRA competition pistol rules. Guns can be .22 revolvers or pistols with or without optical scopes. We would prefer the use of .22 caliber handguns for this program. There will be a 6:30 kickoff time each Tuesday and a 7:30 kickoff time so you can come earlier come late. The primary position will be standing strong handed only not much shooting both hands. The targets will be the NRA B2 and B3 targets at 50 feet, NRA Bullseye target group. With a .22 we will fire 10 shots per target.

The shooting sequence is divided into three segments. For the best shots a Slow Fire rate of 10 rounds in 10 min. you get your best shot at the target 10 times for a potential of 100 points for 10 shots. The next event is Timed Fire where you have two strings of five shots each and you have 20 seconds per string for a total of 10 shots and a potential of 100 points. The last stage is a Rapid Fire which is 5 shots strings with only 10 seconds given per string for a total of 10 shots fired would again give you the potential of 100 points. The aggregate would be a potential of 300 points.

Awards you will be giving, a new patch that says Qualification Pistol and then the skill rockers are the same as we’ve used before but it’s a new program so you will be able to get awards for each new level available for some additional cost if you prefer skill level pens and parchment certificates. We will begin this new course of fire the second Tuesday in January and expect it to run into March. The goal would be that enough people would be interested in pursuing this sport called Bullseye Pistol that we would have a separate night dedicated to it but like every other program it would have to be self-supporting with enough people and RSO’s to maintain that program
